Humans evolved as social animals, we lived in groups, learned to cooperate and share knowledge. We are just one of many species that do best when we have a well defined place within a group.
 
Studies over the past 20 years have shown the need for this type of place within a social group in various ways - from overcoming addiction, to motivation, to health. (Yes, citations needed, I'll dig things up in time).
 
With that in mind, a true Yomonsni life happens in settings where one never lives alone, but always within a group - a chosen extended family, or for our purposes a cluster or . Always having someone to share with, to lean on, to support, to communicate with, enables better mental health. This doesn't mean you never have a moment alone, or privacy, but living in this way, you always have support and a group you can rely on.
