The Study, where the morning diagnosis session is held

We meet at The Study, a small writing-focused workshop space near downtown Portland — not a hotel conference room. Morning session runs in the main room pictured here: comfortable chairs, good light, and enough distance between seats that working out loud doesn't feel like a performance.

Session one is diagnosis: what's actually stalled, and why. No pitching, no critique — just naming the specific thing that's making the current draft hard to return to.

The Study's garden courtyard, used for afternoon writing time

Afternoon session moves outside to the garden courtyard when weather allows (there's a covered indoor alternative if it doesn't) for guided writing time — long, unbroken blocks with occasional short check-ins, not workshop-style discussion.

Bring a laptop or notebook, whichever you actually draft in. Coffee and a light lunch are provided.
